Day 25: Uinta Wilderness

This picture was posted to facebook on August 9, 2011.  This is why you shouldn't hike mountains with shorts on.  If you do then your legs will get cut up like this.  I really liked these shoes.  They may be my favorite pair of shoes that I have ever had.  Sleek, slender and athletic.

Day 24: Kurgan

Both of these pictures were taken on April 13, 2010 when I was in Kurgan.  I guess I have a thing for graffiti.  Obviously the graffiti doesn't have to that impressive for me to take a picture.  But I liked them both.

Day 23: McCall

This picture was posted to facebook on March 18, 2012.  For Spring Break, I went with some friends and some new friends to McCall to go snowmobiling.  It was a lot of fun.  I am in the cabin here and it was really nice.  I really liked my coat because it kept me warm along with the helmet.  For the most part I was really warm.  We just rode around on snowmobiles for a couple days.  I had a lot of fun!  Thank you Mike Christensen!

Day 22: Peace Valley Scout Ranch

This picture was taken on May 22, 2012 in Colorado.  I went to a week long training camp called National Camping School in order to be qualified to be a rifle range director at Camp Frontier.  There were multiple parts of the training.  Some of the most enjoyable parts were when we went to the shotgun shooting range and did action shooting.  That is when two clay pigeons are flung and the clays go faster.  We shot a ton of clays on this day though.  On this day I also tried a huge variety of shotguns with different actions and different stocks.  It was lots of fun and educational.

Day 21: Saint Petersburg

This picture was taken on September 8th, 2012.  So since I am in Saint Petersburg I thought that I would add a cool picture from the pictures that I have taken.  Here we have спас на крови (Church on Spilt Blood).  It is such a cool looking cathedral.  Its design is new old-style Russian church because it is only about a hundred years old but looks like it should be 200 or 300 years old.  Similar to St Basil's cathedral in Moscow.

The church is actually on a canal and Sveta (the tour guide) talked about why that was significant.  Tsar Alexander II was assassinated here and his son build the church in memorial of his father

Day 20: Chelyabinsk

This picture was taken April 24, 2011 in Chelyabinsk, Russia.  Yesterday I posted a picture with graffiti and it made me think of this one because it has to be one of the coolest one I have ever seen.  It was huge! Plus it was very detailed and just wow!

Day 19: Saint Petersburg

This picture was taken on September 7, 2012 in St Petes. We went down this really skinny street right off a busy street and there was all this graffiti on the sides of the buildings on both sides of the street.  I really liked this one and so I took a picture of it.

Day 18: Home

These pictures were taken on September 5, 2012.  So I left on my big adventure.  Here I am waiting to put my luggage in to the Expedition to drive to the airport.  I am so exicted!!!   It is going to take forever to get there though.

Day 17: Denver International Airport

This picture was taken August 17, 2009.  I am in the Denver international airport "on the phone" with my mom because I haven't talked to them since I was in Salt Lake a couple hours earlier.  But before that I had been in the MTC (Missionary Training Center) and just emailed back and forth while I was there.  We are  going to fly through Denver and Frankfurt just like last time so that is pretty cool.

Day 16: Scottsdale

This picture was posted to facebook on October 25, 2008 though it was taken June 2007.  For my family vacation we stopped in Scottsdale for our vacation.  This picture was taken at a mall in Scottsdale, Arizona.  It was a really cool waterfall by the stairs.  I remember that it was a desktop picture for my mom for a while.

Day 15: Camp Frontier

This picture was taken on August 3, 2007 up at Camp Frontier.  I really like archery and have liked it for a while.  Which is a good thing because when I was 13 and I tried to get my archery merit badge but I didn't because I couldn't hold the bowstring back long enough to aim.  But now a couple years later I am able to hold the bowstring back and I am actually able to aim.  This is an interesting picture also because the archery range is no longer down in this field but was moved in 2010 or something to the current place.

This picture was taken in 2011 after the archery range had already been moved to one of the overflow campsites.  Then this year (2012) it looks a little different because one of the projects was to get rid of the downed trees behind the targets.

Day 14: Home

This picture was taken May 27, 2009.  This is David's van and Grant's canoe.   We decided one day that we wanted to go canoeing and so we strapped the canoe to the van and then we were on our way.  We drove down to the lake in Daybreak.  We then took the canoe off the van, put it in the water and we were off on our great adventure!  It was an adventure for sure.

Day 13: High Uintas Wilderness

These pictures were all taken on July 28, 2012.  Matt, Amanda, Travis and I hiked to Scout Falls and Lake Allsop.  It was an awesome hike!  We hiked to Scout Falls which was 5 miles and then continue the 3.5 miles to secluded Lake Allsop.  We told stories, had fun, and wondered at the beauty of nature on the hike but 17 miles is a long ways to stay entertained. We hiked all the way in and all the way out in one day.  To keep myself entertained I took pictures with my camera.  I would take pictures while I was hiking.  I would put a 2 second timer on my camera and then hold my arm out and keep hiking until the camera took the picture.

I guess it was pretty obvious that I was taking this first picture.  Others don't look that way.

Matt picked up on the fact that I was taking pictures pretty quickly
